We write plain-English guides for two things: finding a lost or stolen device, and setting up location sharing with family members who want to be found.
What this site is
Locating.uk is an independent guide site. We are not affiliated with Apple, Google, or Life360 — we just write up how their official tools work so you don't have to dig through support documentation when you're stressed about a missing phone.
What this site is not
We do not provide a way to track another person without their knowledge or consent, and we won't publish guides that do. Every location-sharing tool we cover only works when the person being located has agreed to it and can see that it's happening. If you're trying to locate someone who hasn't consented to sharing their location, that's a matter for the police, not an app.
